We discovered Harley’s American Restaurant a few years ago when we first visited Tenerife and enjoyed a couple of breakfasts in their fun Cadillac dining cars, so when we arrived back for our late Summer holiday at the end of last year we were more than happy to have another visit! We managed to squeeze all 6 of our party into one of the cars, though it was a little tight. As eating out in Tenerife goes, it’s definitely a fun experience… for kids young and old ;)
The menu didn’t seem to have changed at all since our last visit, but I managed to pick something I hadn’t tried before and wished I’d eaten it all of the times I’ve visited Harley’s – Mexican Breakfast Burrito, it was super tasty! The inside is pure British breakfast with great tasting sausage and bacon, but the outside is very Tex Mex with cheese and jalapenos soaking into the tortilla wrap. Of course, the whole thing was topped with a fried egg too! Nothing about this meal was remotely Canarian, haha!
On a friend’s recommendation I tried a frappuccino flavoured with real amaretto… when in Rome, eh? It was freaking delicious!! Love the topping of coffee beans, so cute. I’m going to have to start adding them to my coffees at home.
I haven’t tried Harley’s evening menu, but I’m lead to believe it’s quite a fun setting for night time entertainment and they have a decent cocktail menu. I’ve also never actually been inside (why wouldn’t you sit in a Cadillac in the sunshine?), but you can see the cars and motorbikes through the window and it definitely looks worth a browse if that’s your thing.
Harley’s American Restaurant is on Avenida Espana in Adeje, Tenerife
