If you’ve been following along on Instagram Stories, you will know that last weekend we hopped on a train to Bristol and then hired a car to drive into the beauty of Cornwall. I mean just look at that breathtaking view! The 11 hour journey was well worth it. This was day two at the English Heritage ruins of Tintagel Castle – over a hundred steps above ground level. Sitting on the edge of the world was worth every single one.
I bought this blouse from the Orla Kiely sample sale in London a few years ago. They seemed to be doing them quite regularly once upon a time, but I haven’t seen it be mentioned for quite a while recently. I bought this top, a cute tan shoulder bag and a beautiful patterned dress for rock bottom prices – all brand new and in perfect condition. It is silk, though, so I’m always terrified I’m going to ruin it every time I wear it. I am not dainty!!
My jewellery is from Black Willow Jewelry, both were really special gifts from Mummy Oneten and Stu as they’re quite pricey (completely worth it, of course, as they’re handmade!). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve panicked when I lose that ring for even 5 minutes, I think it’s my most favourite item I own and I wear it every day. Those special pieces can really change the way you feel, can’t they? Sometimes when life is sucking, all I have to do is look down at the sparkly, mystic quartz on my finger and feel loved. I absolutely adore how the colours match the sea.
I’m definitely a water baby – I love to swim, even though I’m not very good at it, and something about being in the sea air just makes me feel so happy and peaceful. I also had a super strong coffee before we attempted all those stairs up to Tintagel Castle (as you may be able to tell from the photo below!) and hanging out with my bestest pals without a care in the world – yep, this was a really, really good day. Loves x xx
