Gosh, I freaking love Winter. Have I ever mentioned that? ;) Sun soaked skies and crisp air, that’s when you’ll find me frolicking in the park, not on hot summer days.
I’ve been wearing my Levi jacket a lot recently. I was bought it many years ago for Christmas, in fact, I was even still at school. I used to wear it with a hoodie to and from school every day and then I wore it a little again when I worked in retail as a light summer jacket, but then it got buried in the depths of my closet. I pulled it out again this winter and replaced the music pin badges with a couple of cute handmade brooches I got from Etsy. It’s a fun addition to my outfits and I definitely want to make a concentrated effort to dress a lot more fun while I’m still in my twenties. To dress with personality! I want to literally wear my heart on my sleeve.

Last night was Boyfriend’s birthday celebrations and a few of us went out for dinner and drinks. I wore my new blood red shoe boots and a floral dress with patterned cream tights. It was doll-like overload and I almost changed again before leaving, but decided to stick with it. When we went for cocktails I had mine in a teacup glass. I know there’s some discussion going round about girls being too girly, but hey guess what? We’re girls. Just because we like flowers and birds and pink does not mean we’re not smart or independent. I added my denim jacket again to keep it more casual, but I definitely enjoyed dressing more fun.
These tights look like the ones I wore when I was six years old, but all the more reason to wear them now I’m twenty-six. I grew up way too fast in my teenager years, as most do these days. I want to be a little girl again. If I could, I’d fly off to never never land and never come back ;)
I guess it makes a lot of sense really.. my dreams have always been quite child-like. I think you can get to an age where you become very cynical and dreams fade away, but I hope that never happens to me. Above all, I hope it’s always, always fun.
Loves x xx
