1/3 pineapple
2 kiwi fruit
3-4 strawberries
A dash of juice (orange/apple or pineapple usually!)
*For alternatives instead of strawberries we have used sweet clementines, white grapes, blueberries and raspberries.
Smoothies are an excellent way of boosting your healthy food intake, daily. It’s such a simple process that we make ours fresh and drink it in the morning before work. We bought a Cooks Professional Multi Blender through a Groupon deal (which has since expired, sadly) and it has been excellent!
Handmade smoothies are quite ‘bitty’ (i.e. contain pulp if you’re in the US) so for me they’re sometimes not the most satisfying thing to drink, however I do appreciate cramming my fruit intake into one glass sized portion in the morning. It’s definitely worth it!
The whole process is so easy; Chop up the fruit, pile it into the cup, screw it onto the blender, whizz and go. I’ve used smoothie makers in the past that just seemed way too much hassle to clean but with this there is minimal washing up as only the cup needs cleaning and the blade needs rinsing; You can even use the cup to drink out of! This blender is so dinky too so it takes up minimal space on the counter top, meaning we can keep it out all the time. You know how I like my day-to-day tasks here at onetenzeroseven, simple and convenient ;)
What are your favourite fruit combinations? Happy smoothie making! Loves x xx
