Outfit Post: Orla Kiely at Tintagel Castle, Cornwall

Clifftop View Cornwall

If you’ve been following along on Instagram Stories, you will know that last weekend we hopped on a train to Bristol and then hired a car to drive into the beauty of Cornwall. I mean just look at that breathtaking view! The 11 hour journey was well worth it. This was day two at the English Heritage ruins of Tintagel Castle – over a hundred steps above ground level. Sitting on the edge of the world was worth every single one.

I bought this blouse from the Orla Kiely sample sale in London a few years ago. They seemed to be doing them quite regularly once upon a time, but I haven’t seen it be mentioned for quite a while recently. I bought this top, a cute tan shoulder bag and a beautiful patterned dress for rock bottom prices – all brand new and in perfect condition. It is silk, though, so I’m always terrified I’m going to ruin it every time I wear it. I am not dainty!!

My jewellery is from Black Willow Jewelry, both were really special gifts from Mummy Oneten and Stu as they’re quite pricey (completely worth it, of course, as they’re handmade!). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve panicked when I lose that ring for even 5 minutes, I think it’s my most favourite item I own and I wear it every day. Those special pieces can really change the way you feel, can’t they? Sometimes when life is sucking, all I have to do is look down at the sparkly, mystic quartz on my finger and feel loved. I absolutely adore how the colours match the sea.

Seaside Outfit Ideas

I’m definitely a water baby – I love to swim, even though I’m not very good at it, and something about being in the sea air just makes me feel so happy and peaceful. I also had a super strong coffee before we attempted all those stairs up to Tintagel Castle (as you may be able to tell from the photo below!) and hanging out with my bestest pals without a care in the world – yep, this was a really, really good day. Loves x xx

Outfit Post – The Most Comfortable Brogue

Teapot necklace, tea jewellery, the best tea themed accessories

We had such an awesome time in London, the weather was incredible and we packed so much into such a short space of time – a real whirlwind trip. According to MyFitnessPal we walked about 17 miles over about 48 hours so comfortable shoes were essential!! I took some super comfy heels from Dorothy Perkins and these pastel pink brogues that were sent to me from Brantano, which are the cutest things ever!

How To Wear A Denim Jacket

The weather was amazing so I needed to take some lightweight outfits with me and of course some layers as it is England, afterall. My denim shirt from Matalan has got to be my best purchase this Summer with all the benefits of a denim jacket, but less bulk and thickness for those hot days. I got this pretty cream dress in the sale at Forever 21 and it’s so easy to wear that I wore it twice during the trip and I’ll be taking it down to Cornwall next week for sure!

The Most Comfortable Brogue

#Pingame The best enamel pins on Etsy

My denim shirt is the perfect canvas for my tiny pin collection. I didn’t think I’d get into the pin trend, but I got the orange hands from Etsy as a little Christmas gift last year and then I bought the Good Vibes pin from Oh No Rachio when her lovely little kitty was sick. It’s funny how once you buy one, you want them all!

So onto my gorgeous brogues!! I had no idea that Brantano sold branded shoes, so I was excited to discover these Clarks beauties on their website. I was always brought up to think of Clarks to be the best quality shoes and my God, these shoes are well made. The soles are so soft and padded and really mould to the shape of my feet, they’re the most comfortable brogue. They are quite tough as they’re so new, so I definitely needed to wear socks or tights at first, but you can tell they’re going to last for years. I just adore the shades of nude and pink, they look so expensive!

Cream White Summer Dress

I’ve been really, obscenely busy over the last couple of weeks, but although I feel a little wrecked today I’ve got a happy heart and a bug to fill up my to-do list!! We’re headed to Cornwall at the weekend so I’m crazily excited to get up to some more adventures! What are your bank holiday plans? Loves x xx
