My earliest shopping memories are going out with my Mum and my Nan to Marks & Spencer’s. When I got a little bit older I was a regular at IDX at Debenhams and Tammy Girl… my Mum took me to all the cool places. Shopping was our weekend staple and I can’t imagine how much money she would spend on me, especially as a single parent. My mum is definitely mostly responsible for my obsession with clothes.
Wynsors shoes asked me to choose a pair of boots for my mum for Mother’s day and we both fell in love with these fun fringed ankle boots. We don’t often like the same pieces of clothing, but our styles aren’t a million miles apart so it was fun to meet up for this mother daughter style outfit post and see how we styled the boots differently. We both went for the classic blue skinny jean, except I went for a distressed ripped pair to her clean cut ones. Mum choose a suede biker jacket and I went for a more casual cardigan – my favourite lime green one that I bought in New York.
I wore these boots on a night out at the weekend, they’re higher than they look, but they’re sturdy and they were pretty comfortable for almost the entire night, which is good going for me – I like my flats! A tan boot is definitely a wardrobe staple.
Mum and I are very close, which means we often argue a lot, but we’re crying with laughter at each other’s text message typos again in no time. We’re both self employed, so it’s nice to hang out and go shopping every now and then when we’re feeling a bit too much cabin fever at home. Mum is entirely responsible for my love of Marks & Spencer’s food too so we love a good jaunt there for a posh food shop. I think I’m getting more and more like her every day… there are worse people I could be turning into! Haha. Loves x xx
