Outfit Post: How To Wear White Jeans

Heart Jewellery Laser Cut

Happy Love Day!! I got sent some lovely white jeans to test out from Simply Be so I thought I’d spend my Valentine’s Day wearing a fun love themed outfit! I wanted to try some of Simply Be’s Sculpt jeans from their range so I went for these white ones as I haven’t owned a pair of white trousers for about ten years and I thought it would be a fun challenge to mix up my wardrobe. So how to wear white jeans?

How to wear white jeans

I absolutely love the contrast of bright white with this lovely hot bright pink so I really wanted to team the two together. My hair is always a natural way to add pink into my outfit and I usually match it with this glossy pink statement heart necklace from my Etsy shop, perfect for today’s Valentine’s theme. I chose a different shade of pink for my jumper to create more of a gradient of colour instead of being overly matchy-matchy and I just had to wear my new glittery pink shoes! I hope this helps you with how to wear white jeans!

The Sculpt jeans are exactly what they say on the tin – with this darted shape in the back to make your bum look perky and the hidden control area in the front that is like wearing hold-me-in pants, they’re definitely a lovely fit and shape. I’ve had size 14 jeans from Simply Be before and they’ve been quite on the large side, but these Sculpt jeans fit like a glove so I’d recommend them as true to size. I would definitely suggest them as smart, going-out jeans rather than for every day wear as they’re quite tight and restrictive, but they do make you feel quite bad ass for special nights out!

What are your plans for today? I’m spending the day with Stu and my Mum, making nachos for tea and watching films. I hope you’ve got something nice planned whether it’s with someone you love or just some special alone time full of self love!

What To Wear For City Exploring: Casual & Colourful

Canada Maple Leaf Photo

The world is just so vast and so beautiful, I am leaving pieces of my heart all over the place and Toronto was no exception, especially when we happened upon Ontario Place on the map, not quite sure what to expect, and wondered into one of the most picturesque places I’ve seen in the flesh.

A public area with greenery, lakefront access and an events space, Ontario Place is the perfect destination for a lovely walk or bike ride and ideal to stop along the way for a picnic sat on the water’s edge.

What to wear for city exploring
It can be hard to choose what to wear for city exploring as you’re on your feet all day in busy surroundings, not knowing what you’ll happen upon next. I absolutely love packing my favourite clothing for travelling with, so these clogs by Lotta from Stockholm had to come with me.

They are surprisingly comfortable for a heeled shoe, but if you’ve never worn clogs before I recommend a shorter wear at first – the soles are not flexible so walking in them can take some getting used to. I also always try to pack a small pair of flats in my backpack, too, just in case we end up on a much longer trek than expected and my feet need a fresh sole half way through!

Casual & Colourful What To Wear For City Exploring Outfit

Another top tip for what to wear for city exploring is layers! Even on a really cold day, you can work up quite a sweat marching from one end of a city to the other and despite going to Toronto in October, they were experiencing quite an unexpected heatwave! I like to wear a vest, top, lightweight cardigan and scarf for city days and pack a raincoat in my back pack if there’s a chance of rain. Thin layers still trap enough heat to keep you warm and are easier to pack away in your bag than a chunky jumper or padded coat.

If you’re going somewhere breezy, always tie up your hair! Anywhere high up (like the CN Tower) or along the water’s edge like Ontario Place will cause havoc with your hair and no one wants to enjoy these amazing views with hair blowing into their eyes and sticking to their lip balm!

If I spent some extended time in Toronto I would sit on those grass banks and read a book or doodle in my sketchbook while breathing in that fresh lakeside air. What an incredible place to wander around to gather some inspiration and get one of the best views of the CN tower in all of Toronto!
