Bunting, Milkshakes & Bookshops – Snapshots of London

London Bunting Camden Lock

A little jaunt to London last month took us to see Blur live in Hyde Park and to hang out in Camden for the day. We stayed in an AirBnB in Little Venice, across the road from a beautiful canal lined with gorgeous boats and florals. I’d quite fancy staying in a canal boat sometime.

We had gourmet pizzas at Fire & Stone in Covent Garden, I chose the Melbourne with brie and butternut squash – YUM!
Camden Market was out in full force with a foods market, bunting and kooky handmade goods alongside the second hand records and vintage clothes. I discovered a tiny book shop in the market that I’ve never seen before, selling special edition books with beautiful and kooky covers. I’d love to get some for when we find a new home.

As usual we got breakfast and milkshakes at Inhabition, also known as the Lost Elephant Cafe. I highly recommend the Mexican Mocha milkshake! We¬†finished the day with a refreshing drink at The World’s End just by Camden tube station, I was disappointed at their lack of fruit beers, but it’s a breath of fresh air to walk off the packed streets of Camden high street into the quiet, laid back atmosphere of this pub!

Offcuts: Easter Family Fun

Family Walk

What I Wore Easter

We spent the Easter weekend at my Mum’s for a big family dinner. Walking around the local village nature path with my brother and his girlfriend and the Frank monster was really lovely, even if I was still full of cold! Everything was all the more worthwhile when we got back to my Mum’s house early evening and cooked up some Mexican tapas together in the kitchen with an ice cold beer. This is what Easter is to me, sure we have still have an Easter Egg Hunt despite me being the ripe old age of 28, but it’s the whole family focused fun that I really love… chocolate is just a bonus!
