Outfit Post: Rusted Teal

Turquoise, Teal, Duck Egg

I’m baaaaack!! Hope you’ve all enjoyed the holidays! As they are coming to a close and other people are grudgingly going back to work on Monday, I’m actually really looking forward to the year ahead. I have big plans for my business and I’m so excited about the time I have blocked out to spend on my blog.

This has been my favourite outfit for the past festive season. Boyfriend bought me this gorgeous paisley dress from Joy and despite having such an unusual kooky print, it goes perfectly with so many other things I own. The jewellery pieces were also Christmas gifts and I can’t believe how much the vintage fabric from the necklace could be the actual fabric from my dress – just a little more faded and old!

Minnetonka Boots

I’ve been lusting after some moccasins for months so when got in touch with me and kindly offered to send me these Minnetonkas to review I was super excited (so much so that I even ordered Boyfriend’s Christmas present from Surfdome and their service was fantastic; Delivered within 24 hours for freeeee!). I cannot tell you how in love with these little booties I am – they are so comfortable I never want to take them off, even in the house. I’ve worn them with jeans, tights, dresses, with and without socks.. they’re absolutely perfect and have only served to fuel my desire for the Minnetonka range ;) Surfdome have other similar ones, too.

Plus they also match my dress perfectly, I might not wear anything else this month.

The Five WOWs: Date Night Special

What to Wear, Date Night, Dinner

1. Floral Scarf Print Jacket | Yumi  //  2. Harris Tweed Clutch Bag | Miss Tree Vintage  //  3. Summer Freckles Bow Shoes | Irregular Choice  //  4. Midnight Glass Necklace | That Old Blue House  //  5. Burgundy Lace Midi Dress | New Look

These alluring red dresses* are perfect for date night. With it’s sultry lace and deep red colour this body skimming dress stays classy with a below knee length.

Burgundy has always been one of my favourite colours, long before the ‘oxblood’ craze ;) It’s such a flattering colour and a great shade if you’re too afraid to go full on red. I also think it looks great with both sophisticated blacks and more bohemian browns.

I’d wear the above outfit to a special occasion dinner with my boy. Don’t have a date? Grab the girls instead and go for some cocktails! The outfit below features a more casual and fun choice for date night that I would wear to cosy up on the sofas at the Everyman Cinema. Don’t have a date? Go see some live music with your girlfriends :))

What to Wear, Date Night, Cinema

1. Red Skater Dress | New Look  //  2. Tan Chelsea Boots | Office  //  3. Skull Print Scarf | Accessorize  //  4. Stitch Detail Belt | Dorothy Perkins  //  5. Denim Shirt | H&M

Which would you wear? Loves x xx
