Outfit Post: Layering for the Northern Seaside

Yorkshire Fashion Blogger in Scarborough

Back at the start of the year, Boyfriend and I took a weekend break out to Scarborough for a bit of a recharge. I’ve been to Scarborough a couple of times since we used to go as kids, but hadn’t really ventured north beyond the castle for years so this time we hopped in a taxi from our hotel and started our day out by exploring the North Bay.

Seaside Outfit Post

Oof, I’m in love! I could live in one of these gorgeous colourful beach huts lining the seafront… OK maybe I could only live in 6 of them put together, but could you imaging having a cuppa and settling with your sketchbook looking out over the wild North Sea?
It was a lovely walk round from the North Bay to the South Bay, if a little breezy. Literally hold on to your hats!

I picked this outfit for the day as I knew it would be cold at the Northern seaside, but we’d be doing a lot of walking and I didn’t want to get all hot and bothered in a coat. I layered up my pretty lace dress from H&M with thick leggings, a jumper (tied in a knot to make a crop), cardigan and scarf – layers are key – and popped on my Minnetonka boots to keep me warm and comfy all day long. My gorgeous storm print bag was a gift from my bestie – she knows me so damn well!
