Outfit Post: Folksy Florals in Tenerife

Leeds Blogger

What a lovely week we’ve had in Tenerife! I’m so happy that we got to do so much exploring, spent a few hours on a volcano, wandered the streets of a Canarian city and ate so much good food, oh my God. There were 6 people in our party, but on this evening Boyfriend and I went for a little wander alone and a few drinks in our new favourite bar – looking forward to telling you guys about that one!

I picked out this dress from Free People last Christmas. I absolutely adore their bohemian style full of unusual florals and dress shapes unlike anything else I’ve seen on the high street. My dress has a deep v cut at the back, but what I think is a great touch from Free People is their tiny clips that wrap around your bra strap so the sleeves don’t constantly fall down. Their range is pricey, but the pieces I’ve bought from them really do stand out as well made and nicely fitted.

I just so happened to stumble across these shoes in the Debenhams sale a couple of months later than match crazy perfectly! I mean they were made for each other, right? You know I love a good brogue, but I do think they’re an excellent holiday shoe. Really comfortable, but still stylish for us gals that feel a bit lost in Summer clothes.

I love dressing up these folksy florals for Winter too, with thick burgundy tights and boots. The colours are so rich and deep, perfect for the A/W season. It’s quite thin though, so a good excuse for lots of layers. I’m going to search for a burgundy polo neck this year.
