DIY: Washi Tape Labels

Washi Tape DIY

Today I’m sharing a super quick DIY tutorial which is great for parties and BBQs. When we serve up burgers or sandwiches to our friends and family we like to have a nice array of condiments and extras. I am a condiment fiend so we have Sriracha, jerk sauce, barbecue sauce, cheese slices and a selection of mayos. These little flags are a cute addition to your pots and jars so no-one gets a nasty surprise when they slather up their food.

You will need:
Washi tape (c/o Simply Chic)
Cocktail sticks
Pen
Scissors

Washi Tape Labels

– Roll out your tape and stick to a smooth surface (any surface should be fine, but I’d avoid paper or anything that might rip or damage your tape).
– Write your chosen ‘label’ in biro or Sharpie.
– Rip off enough tape so you can fold the label in half and wrap around a cocktail stick.
– Cut out a triangle from the right hand edge to leave a fun, flag shape.
– Tape the other end of the stick to your pot or jar with another piece of tape. I like using a different pattern to add more colour!

Voila! Simply Chic very kindly sent me this Washi tape so I could share this project with you all. Their website is very clean and easy to navigate and in my opinion their tape is so reasonably priced starting from £1.85! They have some gorgeous products to adorn your home and yourself in a lovely, simple and chic manner. Stop by their Facebook page for updates, offers and freebies!
