Outfit Post: Flowers in the Garden

Day to Night Outfit

I’d been chatting to the lovely folk over at Rare London about doing some work on an anti-throwaway fashion campaign and they kindly provided this dress to originally feature in my Dressember challenge, but due to circumstances beyond our control it wasn’t possible at the time. However I will be revisiting the challenge over the coming weeks and this dress will be perfect to show how versatile one piece of clothing can be.

Wear Black and Brown Together

Floral Dress, Creepy Trees

Teapot Necklace, Gold Jewellery, Layers

I wore a variation of this outfit to a friends house for dinner; I wasn’t sure whether the other couples would be smart or casual so it gave me the perfect escape plan to put on a bit of red lipstick and let my hair down if I needed to be more dressy, but was also ideal for what ended up being quite a physical round of Cranium ;) (We lost!!)
It was so easy to give this dress a casual edge with boots and jeans, but it also has a beautiful cut that would make it perfect for a more dressy night out. I’m looking forward to showing you guys how I make a new outfit out of the same pieces from my closet and hopefully we can begin to put an end to redundant clothing piling up in our wardrobes.

I really love your outfit posts. I’ve discovered a lot of great brands this way! It’s always so much fun to see REAL peoples’ fashion.

Thank you! I agree, it’s much different seeing something in a real-life situation than on a model against a white background!
