TSHIRT STORE, Leeds Opening

Quirky T-Shirts

Last week I was very kindly invited to the opening of the new TSHIRT STORE in Trinity Leeds, situated between Blott and Topshop. I took Boyfriend along as he’s the one who usually wears the t-shirts ;) but we both absolutely fell for their kooky designs!

The store isn’t huge, but it’s bright and airy and the clean, white walls and displays really allow the designs to jump out at you. Their wares are designed by artists all over the world under the DEDICATED umbrella and there are so many styles of work that I really do think TSHIRT STORE have something for everyone. I mean just look at this t-shirt I’m holding above. It could not be more perfect for me if I’d designed it myself; It has a freaking skull on it with sunflowers for eyes. I almost shrieked when I saw it! We loved the much ‘darker’ broken tape version too. All their t-shirts are fair trade and organic.

While we were there we met some lovely staff members who seemed genuinely excited to be working there. Everyone was friendly and excited and proud. I’m really looking forward to popping in after Christmas and digging through the racks some more. If you’re still looking for Christmas presents they have an amazing offer which is 3 t-shirts for £75 (that’s £15 off!!) If you’re not a t-shirt fan, they also have some super fun phone cases like the one I posted on Instagram and a couple of scarves like this piano keys one I snapped a picture of, above.

I really love how TSHIRT STORE are passionate about showcasing art, too. For their grand opening they teamed up with The Graffiti Kings and gave them a blank wall opposite Trinity Kitchen. If you didn’t manage to get down to see them in person (unfortunately, like me…) then this video almost makes you feel like you were there – and it’s awesome. Graffiti art is one of my absolute favourite forms of expression (not the vandalism kind!!) and teamed with the city scape idea… well I just want to take this home and plaster it on my wall!

I wish I could portray in words how much I loved the store and how great I think the whole concept is. If someone had asked me about it before hand I would have said maybe I would use them for a couple of gifts, but after having a poke around I really want to start wearing t-shirts myself.

I’m not much of a Trinity Leeds fan, but if they add more stores like these dudes then I might have to hang around there a bit more!

Corn Exchange Xmas Extravaganza

Leeds Craft Fair 2013

Got some last minute Christmas shopping to do? Pop along and see me this weekend, 14 & 15th at the Corn Exchange, Leeds. Lots of kooky gifts available from independent businesses and folk trying to make it on their own, just like me. Give them your pennies and put a smile on your bestie’s face with something weird and wonderful on Christmas day!

See you there!!
