Outfit Post: Brightly Boho Birdie

Winter, Wooly Hat

This year I quite like the idea of wearing unusually bright colours for the dull, cold seasons. Don’t get me wrong, browns, greys and burgundys are still my ultimate faves, but when the weather is dull too it’s nice to brighten up your day with lime green and red, plus some kooky accessories to boot ;) My hair clip, ring, earrings and necklace are all handmade. I made my earrings to go with this cardigan, but I’m thinking of introducing some brighter coloured ones to my shopwhat do you think?

Boho, Bird Dress

Poppy Hair Clip

Ark very kindly sent me this birdie dress right at the end of summer, just as Autumn was approaching and I just couldn’t wait to dress is up all Winter-like. I dug these tights out of the back of my drawer and threw on some clashing coloured layers. The belt I’m wearing actually came with the dress and it’s probably the best quality belt I own, never mind one that actually came free as an after thought! I think a good tan belt is a wardrobe staple and tan goes with a lot more colours and outfits than you think; especially when you have some great tan boots to tie the whole outfit together.

Thanks! No, it’s from Aerie in America… but if you got one from DPs I’d love to know because I’m scared for the day that I need to get rid of this one and can’t get another ;) Haha!
